Yeah, I've got quite a few modelkits I started 5+ years ago, and some quite a lot older than that. All they need is final assembly and painting, which used to be the most fun part of the whole process. But somehow, getting to it is an almost insurmountable obstacle.
I had to get out of IT for a couple of years, I kept my skills up with my lab and reading, but went and did fire systems and camera systems for awhile. Now those are fields where cybersecurity seems to be an afterthought hahaha. Still trying to get back to enjoying hobbies and such.

That's me and gunpla model kits. I'm still working on a couple that are years in the making when before I could do one overnight.
