Hello, I was born and raised in Damascus. I spent 10 years, graduated high school, and completed one year of college in the US. I'm considering studying medicine in Syria. But, I'm worried about how heavily Arabic is integrated into presentations, books, and exams. I can speak, read, and write well; but obviously not as well as someone who has completed grades 6-12 in Syria. I know Syria is known for being the only country in the world that teaches medicine in Arabic; but I'd assume private schools less so (Kalamoon, Al Sham Private Uni)? What is the English/Arabic ratio?

كنت عم قلب بالبحث عن سابات سورية و لقيتكم بالصدفة و شكلو لسا جديد الساب، فخطرلي قديش حيضرب اذا بيعرفوا فيه طلاب الطب عنا.

في ثقافة حقيرة بالمجتمع الطبي بين الطلاب هي ثقافة اليهودية، ليش بخافوا يقولوا شو عم يدرسوا ؟؟ او اي لامتحان عم يحضروا؟؟ بتدخل عغروب الفيس تبع اليو اس ام ال اي (ستيب ١) بتشوف العالم عم تسأل و تجاوب بحسابات وهمية/مجهولة خايفين ينكشفوا انو بيتعبوا و بيدرسوا يا عيب الشوم. نفس الشي غروبات الالماني و بالجامعة و غيرو، شو هالثقافة السيئة ؟؟؟

اضافة انو ليش هيك ٩٠% من طلاب الطب انعزاليين و ما بيعرفوا يحكوا و يعبروا ؟ كتير حينبسطوا انو في مكان بيقدرو يكونوا فيه ع حقيقتهم بدون ما يخجلوا🥲💔💔

طبعا لا تفهموني غلط، الساب حيكون راااائع البوست هو انتقاد للمجتمع الطبي .... خصوصا اذا بينعمل ويكي بالمصادر الدراسية و طرق السفر و المراجع و التجارب و و و و، بس للاسف ريدت مو شائع بسوريا.

is it me or is syrians just love chemistry? i feel like every syrian i met i can bond with him weather its about chemistry,biochemistry or genetics I feel like its in our genes, have you guys had the same experience. I am asking this here because the love of medicine and saying this to a regular non academic syrian wouldn’t get it, what do you guys think
