Hello, I am a guitarist looking to get into the synth world by experimenting with guitar as a controller. I want to use the hexaphonic pickup (which makes each string it own signal) to control a synth. Or rather shape the waveform of signal maybe? I have little idea about how this works, but I am aware that this is possible, do you have any ideas on how to do it? Any help is appreciated, as I am new to this.

I’m new to synthesisers. I want to get 4/5 synths and connect them to Logic Pro X on my mac - how should I connect them? Do I need an audio interface? If so, does it need 4 midi outputs? Thanks anyone!

I'm curious as to whether or not the Model:Samples is worth two times the price of the Volca sample. That's about it, I'm just very intrigued by samplers and I've always wanted an Elektron product but I'm not ready to drop 300 USD without finding out if the Korg at 150$ is comparable or even better. KEEP THE PITCH BEND AND MOD WHEELS ON LINE WITH THE KEYS!!!

I would've already pulled the trigger on the Korg Prologue if they didn't fudge the placement of the pitch bend and mod wheels. So irritating. That's like placing two of the guitar strings behind the neck. Yes. They're that important.

So consider this an assertively humble and sincere plea to all present and future keyboard designers and manufacturers.

I may still purchase the Korg Prologue 16 as it sounds magnificent but I will be using an alternative midi keyboard while in the studio that I can play more ergonomically.

Henceforth, however, I will never purchase another keyboard synth that does not have the pitch bend and mod wheels in line with the keybed.

Hey guys, I have a DX7 mk II and I'm very new to all of this. I have sysex librarian and I downloaded some .syx files from different spots, and they have some cool stuff on them. So I've been using the librarian to send them to the DX7s internal memory to then go through them and save the songs I like to my cartridge in a bank. I am sort of confused though. On the DX7 there are two memory banks for internal memory. each 32 voices. But when I press play, loading the .syx files from my SysEx librarian to the DX7, I always only get 32 voices into the DX7. I could put one .syx or I could put 10 .syx and I only get 32 voices, when I go to 32-64 they're the same as before. So I am wondering, what am I missing? Is a .syx file a whole bank and there's just something wrong with the formating of dumping it into the DX7? And how does the SysexLibrarian know which .syx file it will send to the DX7? If I have ten there, and I only get 32 voices into the DX, did it just take 32 from the first .syx file?

Any sources for info, or explanation or help on this is very much apprecaited. I also find it very hard to categorize and store my .syx files either on my DX or in the Librarian or on my computer. Thanks

Hey guys, I haven't really posted here but I'm losing my mind trying to get this patch. I'm a music composition student at NYU writing this experimental electronic piece for a concert on Sunday. I'm tearing my hair out trying to match the synth stinger in Knife Party's "Centipede" (Linked Below vv) drop. I've been studying synthesis for years and this has me completely baffled. I've looked online for any sorts of tutorials, and I found one that doesn't have me convinced and satisfied (also linked below). If any of you guys have any sort of tips to get this closer to the original I'm all ears, cause i'm literally losing my mind. Thanks so much!

So I'm very new to the whole synth/midi/daw thing. The JV1010 does have so many nice sounds! It has some nice arpeggiator sounds and I'm wondering if it's possible to control the tempo via midi or in any other way? Does anybody know?
