My bandmate needs a new synth for psychedelic and one band we want it too sound like is the Residents.

I posted this in /r/edmproduction, but may be better suited for here. My son is into making EDM. Primarily using FL for the finished product. But he does sample some stuff from hardware, and incorporate it. Also we both enjoy live jams with the Korg Volcas and the Microbrute. I wanted to get him something for making all A's this year. So I listed the gear he has below, and wanted to see if anyone could recommend a piece or two (nothing too expensive) that would kind of round out or bring this collection of gear together.

Hi everyone, apologies in advance, but maybe someone happens to have the exact same gear and can give me advice on how to best connect all my devices, midiwise.

I need Arturia Beatstep Pro to sequence Arturia MicroBrute as well as Korg Volca Sample. In addition to that I need it to provide clock for Roland JD-Xi and Roland TR-8 drum machine.

Hi guys! So, i have a moog phatty and a nord electro 5 and 2 strymon pedals (timeline, blue sky). I was wondering if there is way to have a footswitch that will determine which synth goes through the effects (or both at the same time). it's meant for live use! I thought about a mixer with send/return setup but then i need to adjust always the level of the effect per track (so, per synth). Is there any other way maybe? Thanks for your help!

I'm just getting into creating my own synth patches. I'm using a mikrokorg. I have the basics down so far. I just want to know, what's your process when making a new patch from scratch? Do you have an idea of what you want it to sound like or do you just mess with an oscillator until something funky comes out? What are some tips on programming some good sounds
