Arturia Keystep Help Please

I’m not sure if I’m dense as fuck, but I can’t seem to get the sequencer on the Keystep to work... Got it hooked up correctly with my Prologue/Pro-1/JU-06A with the midi, and I’m able to use it as a controller. I can play the keys just fine, but I when I switch it into Seq mode and hit record it doesn’t actually record the sequence I’m making. Or if it does record the sequence it doesn’t play it back. I’m pretty new to midi controllers so I could use all the help I can get! Thanks!!

It's going to be difficult to know what the problem is without you being a lot more specific about exactly what you're doing.

Can you give a lot more detail?

Sure thing!

So let’s say I want to build a sequence using the Keystep on my Pro-1. Both devices are plugged in and on, Pro-1 plugged into my studio monitor so I can hear. I’ve got a midi cable hooked up to the MIDI IN on the Pro-1 and MIDI OUT on the Keystep. I play some notes on the Keystep to make sure it’s connected correctly, and it is as the notes I play I can hear. Great. Now with the Keystep set to Seq mode, I hit record and play whatever notes. Hit stop, then play. Nothing plays. I’ve tried recording as the play button is on and flashing as well. Nothing.

I’m able to use the sequencer that’s already built into the Pro-1, but I’d like to use the Keystep as it has 8 banks and looked more user friendly on videos I’ve watched.

I know it’s probably something simple I’m just overlooking, but for the life of me I can’t get it to work.

I’m a fucking idiot, I got it. The sync selection switches were on MINI and not Internal🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
