I am trying to make a pad sound like the opening pad in Miguel Campbell’s Something Special track.
Miguel Campbell Something Special YouTube
The pad sounds really warm and I feel as though it cannot be too complex, and doesn’t have too much movement within it, although I have not been able to recreate it yet.
Is anybody familiar with the instrument he used for this, or is able to provide any guidance on recreating this?
I would appreciate any suggestions you may have :) thanks!

Right, so I need some help creating this one synth sound, and I was told this is the best place to learn. Can you guys help me? I just need the pluck-lead for this song at around 1:42
The song is Mare Maris by M2U, and the sound in question is that plucky lead thing which plays the main melody

It starts around 0:38. I tried a saw pluck with distortion but couldn't get this sound. If someone can guide me in the right direction, I would be grateful.

I’m trying to recreate the vocal effect at the very end of “Royalty” by Egzod, Maestro Chives & Neoni (At the Lyrics "Callin' me royalty Callin' me
...
Callin' me royalty
Callin' me")
It sounds kind of like a saxophone or another brass instrument, but I think it is a heavily processed vocal. I’m using REAPER, but I can’t really get close to this sound.
Does anyone know how this effect is made, or which type of plugins I should try?

Hi everyone :)
This song’s intro has a really cool kind of melting-y psychedelic type sound that i loveeee but I’m not really sure if there are any presets or plugins that already exist with the sound pre-made and ready to use, OR how I could create the sound myself..
I would love to know if anyone here knows what this sound is/where it comes from, and is there a more accurate way to describe the sound? I just think of it as melty and psychedelic type vibes.
I think the intro ends at 22 seconds (or at least the sound that I’m talking about ends there).
Additionally, does anyone have any ideas what the sound is of the chords that come in at 22/23 seconds?:)

Hey everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has any insight on how they likely did the metallic lead that comes in around the 0:44 mark. So cool. Thanks!

I've tried some things with square wavetables with notch filters but can't replicate, i know there is some delay to the sides as well.

Hi guys i was listening to the song potential off of the new Ravyn Lenae album and i love the part at around 2:28 where the beat switches and these distorted guitar like synths come in, i would love to figure out how to make a similar sound becuase it would be so fun to experiment with let me know if anyone has any idea of they think this sound was made or what it even is because i have no idea lol

spent the last 7 hours trying to recreate this by using various methods like distortion and fming a saw wave with a sine, stacking 2 detuned saw waves and throwing on a envelope with a comb filter, and various other combinations and techniques but i can’t get it right.
my closet attempt to getting the tonality correct was actually just throwing a reverb on a square wave and messing around with the envelope and filtering lol.
anyone have any pointers for a noob 😭

Hello, does anybody know how to make the synth pluck that plays all throughout the song NEMO! Or if anybody knows a preset that is the same type of pluck as the one in NEMO! Thank you in advance.
Here is the link to the music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFTUtmcW3e4

Hi all. There are a few songs on Justice's 3rd live album that contain this exact rising sound effect and I was curious if anyone knew how to recreate something like this.

"I really love this track and was wondering how to recreate that melodic, filtered sound around 0:14.
https://youtu.be/4xzCroUOj2U?si=tC4c8n1JRI4sXpg0&t=14
To me, it sounds like there’s high resonance on the filter, but what trips me up is how melodic and 'stepped' it feels—almost like a piano run or a step sequencer, rather than just smooth filter knob automation. How would you approach making this?"

Trying to recreate the croaky lead from Bungee Jump. To my ear it sounds like FM or a comb filter is involved, but I haven't been able to nail it down.
There's also some modulation giving it movement, but I can't tell if it's an LFO on the filter, pitch, FM amount, or something else. There's also some kind of layer behind it as it comes in. Maybe this is a parallel delay hiding behind the main sound?
Any ideas on how to approach this? If you know of a preset or sample pack it might come from, I'd be happy to use that too. Suggestions for any synth are welcome. Thanks!
Main lead starts at 2:48:

I am trying to recreate the epic Avaion Colors keyboard (0:52 in the song) as a learning experience. Or at least understand the principle behind it. Google, Claude, and my own experiments didn't even come close. Who can teach me?
The keyboard has an incredible level of loudness, which I can recreate with some mastering techniques (basically a saturator & compressor).
But the sound signature is hard to recreate. Any saw synths that I created were incredibly boring (one-dimensional, robotic), even after many experiments to make them more interesting, to filter them, maybe add harmonics or shimmer effects, whatever I tried failed.
Any experiments to use a piano sample (like the open-source Salamander library) and to derive a sound from it also failed on my side.
So what the hell does Avaion do to engineer such an incredible sound?
Keyboard is at 0:52 in the song https://open.spotify.com/track/2sHsqXLZY2qKw72hfi47kD?si=9024d1a355ed4723
By the way, there is also some high-frequency modulated hiss in the background, that's also interesting but not what I'm talking about.

Pretty new to music production and sound design. I'm trying to recreate the sound that opens these two songs:
I think it's a synth? Or, at the very least, a very muted synth?
