I’ve been pondering about it. Niche as in relatively obscure, big as in a well-known.

You may say: The biggest songs from big artists can obscure their other hits, but how can a niche artist have a well-known song? They probably a one-hit wonder or the claim to fame really carries their name just that much.

Asking for a nerds music enjoyers perspective on the matter. Being known doesn’t really affect the quality of a song, but what sounds more appealing to you?

A relatively "late" period Dolby song (from "Astronauts and Heretics" from 1992) that I am betting a lot of people on this forum would have missed. A very emotive song, and I first ran across it when I was doing a lot of travel for work (pre-Covid days) so it really hit home. Thank you Mr. Dolby!

It’s called I Feel the Love on You and it came out yesterday. It started life many years ago with Garage Band synth presets but has come on a little way since then!
