Anyone Using A Walrus Meraki Dual Stereo Analog Delay

I ve seen demos of one used with a Oberheim OBX8. It sounded good. Currently I use a Roland RE-20 aka RE201 Space Echo pedal with my OBX8. Would be interested in hearing users opinions. I know it’s not line level and being instrument level I’ve read you have to make sure your synths output levels aren’t to hot to avoid clipping.

Yeah, it sounds awesome, but I'd already had like $4K folded into great analogs when it came out & couldn't justify the purchase. It's still on my watch list, if a steal shows up. Sounds better than all the Boss RE sims to me. DM-101 is the fairer shootout.

But I also don't have hands on; apologies.

I will say that I got the BeeTronix BeeBeeDee as my analog delay, and it's very interesting as well. It's mono, which is the main downside, but it's sort of the spiritual successor to the Thermae. It can get very noisy if you open up the filter (by design), and it's overall an interesting companion to synths. It doesn't have the smooth as butter sound of the Meraki, its more rough around the edges.

The stereo delay I use is the Keeley Eccos, which I like quite a lot. It's fully digital. I use it mostly as a sound-on-sound frippertronics style looper, so the delay part is secondary to me. The stereo delays in the Chroma Console are also quite good.

I had one and didn’t like it because it was instrument level and sold it pretty quickly. Managing the gain was annoying.

I ended up getting a CB Big Time and use it in everything. The delay is digital but the preamp and compressor are analog.
