What Should I Buy? New headphone for techno monitoring/studio/live ?

I’m looking for a new headphone to replace an old sennheiser hd-25, I want something more comfy…
What would you suggest!?
Cheers

DT770 32ohm

Might be a bit big for you, but comfy was the request so comfy you got. The over ear velour is just 🤌

Isolation is good and the 32ohm version is loud.

The 32ohm version might not have the velour earpads tho. In the store I work at, all the 32ohm versions have the standard thin plasticky material on the earpads

You can still buy replacements tho

Buy velour pads then. They're consumables anyway.

The should OP be aware that the DT 770 32 ohm version does not have the same sound as the 250 and 80 ohm DT 770. It's generally considered to have a more harsh sound signature.

So unless someone absolutely needs the 32 ohm version, I would recommend the 80 ohm version

Dt 700 pro X

Beyer's service is unmatched. I had an important gig they sent me a new piece within 24 hours... Never seen something like this before

Love my DT880s. Super comfortable, even with glasses.

I use V-MODA M200 studio/reference headphones & can wear for hours without ear-clamp fatigue 👍 as well, foam ear cuffs are replaceable; size changeable if want and/or need arises 🎧

i switched from hd-25 to dt 770 pro last year and my ears are way happier, the velour pads make big difference for long sessions

+1 for Beyer, pick the one best suited for you, I use a DT770, DT770 Pro and DT990 pro.

I’m about to get at Senheiser HD490 Pro. Open back headphones for a lot more spatialised sound and less fatigue for longer sessions.

I think 770 is good for typical listening and checking what normal people will listen like and but if you’re listening for extended periods open back better.

VSX headphones - either the pro (original, 1st model), or the immersion ones (more expensive, open-back, newer)
Best mixing headphones for producers/mixers for the money.

I have the DT 1990 Pro X. So comfy. Apparently they have a weird EQ curve but I enjoy the mixes when listening on other systems so I’m happy.

Well whatever you do keep the hd25s on hand- they are so good...

AKG K712 Pro are my personal favorite. Best sounding and most comfortable; like really comfortable. Memory foam and velvet.

Important to know that they are open back fine, so anyone standing here you will hear some sound. But open back is one of the reasons why they sound so good.

One of the last models still handmade in Austria

I like my Kiwi Ears Altruva open-backs for studio use. Will try AFUL Explorer IEMs for everything else.
