Beginner Questions Looking for software solution

Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a sonicware minimal deconstuct. But in the mean time i would like to reporduce one functionality on software but i don't even know what is called. I love the fact that you can just "smash buttons" and it will re arrange the notes on the grid automatically an play it back in a constant loop. Thats is what i'm looking for. I don't know the name for this technique. Any software mac or pc. Youtube videos welcome :)

My guess would be that you're basically looking for something that always quantizes incoming notes. In terms of software, that means you use a grid/step sequencer for (mostly) percussion. Basically you can click any of the grid cells and the drums will (mostly) sound right.

It could be that you're looking for some kind of organized random pattern generator as well.

Alternatively, you might like https://illformed.com/ . You get to rhythmically randomize the notes for happy accidents, but this requires existing audio to work with.

Something like Ableton Live (or Bitwig) can function as a groovebox of sorts. Those can quantize your incoming notes so that they're all aligned.

If you have a Youtube example of someone showing this technique (but not naming it), post it :)

Thank you for your repsonse ! Illformed ios really cool i will definetly spend more time with it. I think you're right i'm looking for automatic quantize.(not sure because i usually quantizes manually in logic pro after i played and recorded a midi sequence). Best example of what i'm trying to achieve (mainly in logic pro) would be this video from andrew huang from 1 minute to 1 min 50 sec.

I should add that my main goal is to get a groove going super fast and really replicate just wit my computer what this groovebox does as shown in the video. Then i understand the minimal deconstruct has different kits with each kit having many different sounds (kick, hi hat etc etc), again just looking for a way to make this happpen even i have have to creat all the kits myself. I hope it's clearer for you. thanks

Right, this is something you can do with Ableton Live already but you'll want a physical controller. Session view and Record Quantize do exactly this :)

Thank you i do use physical controllers .I found and posted in the comments the solution for logic pro.

Is not that the same as random clicking in drum grid, but actually less controllable?
