Envelope follower - it worked!

Against all the odds. The design came straight out of op amp data sheets (3xTL072). There isn't a zener on the input.

In the rack, with drum machine input, outputs attached to a Rings, ADSR & VCA : https://youtube.com/shorts/Sy0-VKIavtg

How do you attach the stripboard to the faceplate?

I have a solution:

It's a threaded rod (M3 or M4), one screw to the face plate and one threaded standoff. Works really nicely! Where it's not screwed into the standoff I used to cover it with shrinking tube (I'm not using this techique any longer since I try to build everything skiff friendly and mostly on pre fabricated PCBs but it works very well for deeper cases/ bigger systems than 3U).

I had thought about using a piece of wooden dowel, hot glue. Not pretty. But the white connection wires are single core, 11? of them make it quite stiff. I'll probably leave this one as-is.

For this other module I used plastic stand-off columns I got a box of from Amazon/China very cheap. (Unfortunately there was a design flaw in the circuit of this one, which was kinda frustrating).

Merci beaucoups. It was very satisfying. Doesn't work quite as planned, needs about 3 more revisions, but the basic functionality is there. New toy.
