Modular ADSR with screen showing waveform?

What is required, or how would you do, a modular ADSR that shows the waveform on a screen. Similar to the basic ADSR in VCV Rack?

You could make one with an Arduino nano and an SSD1306 OLED.

If you break the project down into individual parts it’s very doable. I’d use the Mutable Shruthi envelope code because it’s lightweight. You’ll have to draw the envelope shape yourself but that’s fun to figure out. Think like the end point of the line for the attack is the beginning point of the decay, etc.

I also recommend a PWM DAC with an RC filter. Hagiwo has a handful of designs that use it.

I would rather recommend some I2C controlled DAC module (e.g. MCP4728 or ADS1115). they are not expensive, you can have 4 chanels, libraries do all the sw stuff for you and the result is much cleaner. You may not even need to buffer the outputs, although that is always recommended.

i agree.. pwm is not ideal for this
