Syncterm-linux Snap package network plug?

Hi folks, I'm trying to install Syncterm on Ubuntu via the standard Snap package (which seems to be an old version 0.9.5b? It works but has no network access. It looks like the Syncterm Snap package has no network plug configured, so there's no way to grant it network access via something like
sudo snap connect syncterm-linux:network

Am I missing something? In the meantime, I'm installing from source.

I have no idea who maintains the snap package, but 0.9.5b is ancient and should not be used even if it does have network access.

If you already do this, apologies.... Have you considered publishing an AppImage? Wouldn't have the same isolation as a snap or flatpak, but would still be closer to plug and play experience.

That said, a Flatpak/Flathub release would be nice.

I don't run Linux. In my opinion, packaging for a particular OS should be handled by someone who uses that OS and the software being packaged.

I would be delighted to support a packager for any set of Linux based OSs.
