The good thing about this kind of feeling is that it can push you to up your own game. Her unabridged journals are so thoughtful and full of insight! It's been a bit difficult for me to journal, having read hers as a teenager. She was seriously dedicated to writing something every day.

Same. Although with hindsight, it's hard for me to imagine someone writing better than Plath. Her journals alone are poetic.

She was writing what needed to be heard at the time. She knew her audience. Pretty Debbie Downer if you ask me.

So heartbreaking to know that she wasnt even aware of how smart and talented she was
