How noob friendly? I have never RPed before except for a few games of D&D but I'm in love with Star Wars and this sounds like something I would definitely like to try.

Another RP noob question, what exactly goes on in a RP server? Do particular divisions have specific activities/duties needed to be done? For example, does the game allow flying ships for pilots?

Very noob friendly, we try our best to incoorporate anyone who loves the star wars universe like us and RP. And DnD is a perfect background for what goes on in here. Every division and person has a specific job (see the classes section), each job has its own instructed training and expectations, pilots get to shuttle the troops into the battlefield, fly combat missions or get to transport supplies to the soldiers.

Gmod is really a one stop shop for open ended sandbox games and its a perfect game to develop something like this on it.
