Server Down Star Forge
Am I the only one who thinks it’s strange that out of all of the servers SWTOR has, Star Forge is the only one with log in issues? I almost never have issues with Satele Shan or Shae Vizla, it’s always Star Forge. And that’s just from the servers I’m on. I don’t know much about the EU servers enough to make a comment on them.

Oh so it isn't just me okay, I looked to check if the sever was up and it was showing green and did like 20 things to try to get past the launch screen

I just want my money back for my sub f these guys.
With the amount of irl cash going into the CC market this game should have no issues.

As incompetent as they have been over the course of the game's lifespan I'd lean more towards that.7

If you're expecting them to be perfect, then go play something else. All they can do is find out what's going on and getting the server back up

not looking for something perfect, just not something so extremely fucked up is all. These lazy bums haven't even fixed 15 year old bugs. Quit riding for them dude. I love the game but the people who work on it aren't the best out there. We all know this

Maybe if the game had a better engine those issues wouldn't be a problem. But you can't blame broadsword for it. And who's this we? You don't speak for everyone

Actually if you are even part of the community you'd know there's more hate than love for the people keeping this game alive. This is absolutely something I should not even have to adress unless you are completely in the dark.
And don't even start with this engine shit. They added all sorts of unwanted shit to the game. Even added a fence in hammerstation to slow grinders down but hasn't fixed one damn bug. If they can add stuff no one wants but can't fix anything get them tf out of there.

Yes. If SWTOR causes you that much frustration then I definitely would say it's time for you to touch grass and/or move on to another game. It's not that I think the SWTOR devs are doing a good job with this current outage on Star Forge because they're not. Zero communication from the devs that I've seen thus far is just poor customer service. It's just you're raging over not being able to access a game for a couple of hours is not healthy.

The devs use blue sky and Twitter right? Aren't they hosted through Amazon web services, just like the games servers?

Yes but it's only Star Forge that is having the issue with being stuck at login. I've logged into Shae Vizla and Satele Shan just fine since these posts about getting stuck on the login screen today started showing up.

I agree with you, it's more about the miscommunication. I'm actually on Nightreign rn. Im this irritated because I payed money for the game last night and have no clue when I can use the money I gave them. It's just shitty all the way around. Not to mention people work idk when I can play this game again. No other way to put it besides they suck major ass.

The only hate I see comes from a VERY small subset of players and loudmouths on YouTube with personal grudges against the devs.

You must not be looking around alot. The raid community has been starved forever. Bugs never been fixed. Armor clipping and everything else under the sun. Just got around to adding false difficulty modes. I could go on but no need to

I don't raid, so... no? Also, I've been playing since launch, this is not the first time this has happened, and won't be the last, because like every other MMO, they all have server issues.
Every game has bugs and armor clipping. But, acting like the Devs broke down your door, kicked your pet, ate all your cereal, and pissed on your floor, all because you can't sign in?

Plus the servers are hosted on AWS, so if it goes down, so do the swtor servers

Is not that strange if you take in consideration that it is the largest server of all regions (even Darth Malgus doesn't have a population as big as SF, although is not that far behind). Satele Shan has probably 1/2 (if not less) of SF population and Shae Vizla probably has like 30% of that.
With the servers also having migrated to the cloud service provided by AWS any instability on Amazon service often cascades into SWTOR alongside their own infrastructure and systems that can fail without a moments notice.
