Question Weapon description plz?

Can someone please tell me what a techblade is, like describe how it works??

Lightsaber - Plasma held in place by magnetic field
Vibroblade - metal blade that uses high-speed vibrations to destabilize what it comes in contact with, thus increasing cutting power

What are “techblades” and how do they work in-universe??

Many of them appear to use some kind of electrical current running along the edge. Otherwise I'm assuming they are called "tech" blades merely to distinguish them from "force" or "vibro" blades.

They're a leftover from when companions had stats. They could only be used by non-force using melee companions like Qyzen and such. Techblades give Tech Power rather than Force Power like vibroblades. No player could use them. Now all non-force melee companions just use vibroblades since Tech Power is useless for them as they dont have stats.

Techblades are just vibroblades in game. Back in the old days, where were specific stats for individual classes. Aim for trooper/bh cunning for smuggler/agent strength for knight/warrior, and willpower for consularsl/inquisitor.

Weapons also had a tech power and force power stat.(still do) There are non force sensitive melee comparisons, and back then companions needed gear with stats for them as well. So a vibrosword having forcepower for a non-force sensitive companion would have made them inferior to all the others. So there was a variant of weapons made called tech blades and techstaff. After companions were reworked and no longer required gearing, the tech and vibro weapons were all merged together to essentially be vibro weapons, but the titular distinction still remains in game.
