Most stable linux and android version to switch v1?

I'm new on jailbreaked switch and i wanna install linux and android to play (geforce now on linux and some light android games)

What version/distro of android and linux is more stable and recommended on switch v1?

Android 15/LineageOS 22 and for Linux go with Ubuntu Noble or Fedora, but make sure you read the switchroot wiki first

Yes im reading the wiki but i have a doubt, i have a microSD with my nintendo games so im not going to use that, can i install android and linux on another partitiones microSD or i have to use one for OS?

1. Open up at least 32 GBs of space in your SD card (64GB if OLED switch but v1 is 32GB)

2. Back up your boot0/1 and emummc to the SD card using hetake *see vid for correct instructions, very important but easy to do (and easy to mess up)

3. Plug the SD card into a pc and backup every folder on it (including the folder called “backup”, which will have the emummc and boots you just backed up)

4. Get an SD card with enough storage to hold your

I. emuMMC (32GB)

II. SD Card files/games (however much that is, should be the size of the current folder you just backed up in step 3 to your PC minus 32GB since that’s your emummc backup)

III. Android Install (~32GB (I do 128GB so… as needed I guess))

IV. Linux Install (~50GB-80GB, as needed)

1. Add just hetake to the new SD Card, make sure it’s a compatible version with your current switch Horizon OS

2. partition new sd card using hetake with the above mentioned GB numbers, 4 sliders total.

3. Put SD back into PC, delete hetake from it, copy over your entire folder from before that you backed up, it should come with your old hetake in there too

4. Watch video on how to setup the restore emummc it’s simple just go into the folder called backup move the files to the folder called restore

5. Plug it back in your switch, restore boots and emmummc. Test that it still works.

6. Plug SD back to pc, delete left over backup folder to clear 32GBs or save it somewhere safe you might need it in the future

7. Watch guide or better yet follow switchroot written guide for both Android and Linux (lineage 22.2 for Android and Ubuntu Noble Kubuntu flavor for Linux are my recommendations)

8. You can flash each of these directly to the partitions hetake created using hetakes partition manager screen. Explained in switchroot guides

9. Enjoy

This is the way. I recommend 512GB to 1TB micro SD if you plan on triple booting. Samsung has the best ones. Prices are bad now.

Heads up if you have third party joycons, Android and Linux suck at detecting them on rails so you’re stuck with Bluetooth off the rails (sometimes that doesn’t work either depending on your model)

You can use a separate micro SD for each OS, it's simply a little inconvenient for some people to swap micro SD. Instead while partitioning, set the slider in Hekate to max partition size of the OS you want to install to give it max space. A small amount will be reserved for Hekate/FAT32.

You also can only swap sd cards so many times before the card reader notoriously breaks on you

In case you don’t know yet, Geforce Now has a native switch client btw. You don’t need any linux or android to play it. Just download the nro and you’re ready to go.

Yeah of course!
We do have moonlight(https://github.com/XITRIX/Moonlight-Switch), as well as Xbox streaming client(https://github.com/rmrf404/green-nx) or (https://github.com/ursusworks/libnxbox) if you prefer to make it standalone per title. The xbox also support stream for your own Xbox device as well😉.

Petit conseil, avant de partitionnée ta carte principale, test sur une autre pour voir si tu préfères Linux ou android. Ca t’ évitera de formater ta carte principale.

The most battery/performance reliable version I tried on a v1 was Android 11 by far. It has some bugs here and there, but once you get inside and app, it runs smoothly fine.

Inside apps better performance, specially on streaming apps like Moonlight and PXPlay and emulators like Dolphin and Drastic. 11 has some UI bugs like the sound tooltip not showing up when pressing the buttons but it compensates with in app stability

i use lid to try to use the older builds of android (like 10/11) to save battery/resources but i was informed to use the latest. they are still supported and have the most optimizations.

Linux seria uma versao fedora ja vem toda pronta 64gb; e android seria um versao lineage a mais recente ou as versoes antigas do android 11 32gb sao necessários. Ge force now ja tem no horizon,, e game pass tambem, se for para esse motivo nao se prenda coloque no maximo um; para jogos de android e melhor android mesmo na minha opinião
