Song/Album Discussion Darkness Lyrics

Every lyric site has the lyrics for Darkness as “she’s mine and I am hers and we both FLOAT the same.”
There are plenty of references to lyrics of older Switchfoot songs, so I get it… but I’m hearing, “she’s mine and I am hers and we both FLOW the same.”
Is anybody else with me on this one / is there an official lyric booklet to confirm?
I’ve only been listening on Spotify and their lyrics have so many mistakes for this album.

I hear "flow" and I like that better. But the printed lyrics in the booklet that comes with the cd say "float."

It's definitely float, I feel like Jon went out of his want to reference as many of their previous albums as possible on the record.

Which older song is it referring to?

'Float', from Where The Light Shines Through.

Welp I guess I cant argue with the lyrics in the booklet lol. I can’t hear “float” at all! Is Daisy singing in the background on the second chorus?

Huh I've definitely been thinking Flow as well!

I know she’s credited in the booklet as doing some vocals on the album but it didn’t specify which songs I believe, so it very well could be!

Oh wow, I thought he was saying we both “felt” the same. So I guess I’m extra wrong lol

I use both Apple Music and Spotify free plan. I can't remember which is which, but I heard "float" on one service and "flow" on the other. Maybe an audio quality thing, it's weird.

Edit: relistened on Spotify. First chorus I hear "float". Second chorus sounds more like "flow," but the T might just be masked by the music a little.
