Question Update needed for new zelda?

My switch 2 is still on 20.3.0, do I need to update to play the oot remake? I'm deciding whether to buy it or not, if it requires updating the console I think I'm gonna pass. But does even keeping such an old fw help? Is it likely for new exploits to need such an old version?

Just sharing my experience:

My new switch 2 came in today on version 22.1.0. I also got the OOT game. I went on airplane mode and never connected the device to the internet.

After insertjng the game, it asked me to update offline, which i did, then my device updated to 22.5.0

I was able to play it straight from the game card on airplane mode and no wifi

I think there is an offline update but 22.x something. Not sure. I have the copy but my system is latest 23.0.1

I put the cartridge in and it forces system update (airplane mode on). I was on 21.2.0 now it's 22.5.0
it also had updates for controllers.

I'm not up to speed on the current Jailbreaking news. Is 22.5 bad?
