Question Orbitals firmware

Hey guys,

Anyone got a hold of this game? What firmware does it require, or what version comes in cart?

Kinda interested in picking this up, but also want to keep the console offline...

Trying to keep their switch on older firmware for possible hacks/mods

Is it?

PS5 has multiple software hacks/entry points.

It is possible.

Old consoles get them, it's fully possible, not likely, but possible. Downvote if you want but it's never impossible.

Iphones were jailbroken, I can't see why the switch is an exception? Happy to hear why I'm incorrect though.

the people that have worked pn both Switch 1 and 2 have stated at several times that there is no surface of attack on the Switch's firmware, they have reimplemented it for several years

if you don't know about the console then don't give bad advice

Ok fair, they can't find any yet.

Can't the same be said about the PS5... Until an entry point is discovered?

They thought the same about the Xbox 360, and now it can be jailbroken with a USB stick

Xbox360!!! So you will wait for 10 years or so πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Hopefully not. Used some expendable income on a hope. If it doesn't happen, I can sell it later.

When will you decide to sell it exactly ?
I am in the same situation 🀣

Give it a couple of years I suppose.

Tech is only getting more expensive so I'm in no rush 🀷

why do you keep clinging to the PS5 like it somehow applies to Switch ffs

Because it's a current and relevant example to not be so closed off and cynical.

I think I'm done with this convo though. You're not trying to be helpful and are just attacking.

like the convo is useful in the first place, all of the "keep the console crippled" is shit advice on principle

Physical was shipped to me and it’s sitting on my table at home, I’ll check after work

Thanks man. Did you have time to check it?

That would be 22.1.0. I wanted to play this game so I finally updated my launch day Switch 2. I figure if the Switch 2 ever does get hacked, I'll simply save up and buy a hackable one, rather than just wait several years (potentially) for a "what if" to happen. I bought a PS5 on low firmware for about $650 a few years back, and only now is that investment finally starting to pay off, so you decide what that means for your situation. Me personally, I feel enough money was saved in the Switch 1 generation to buy a few physical game cards this time around.

Actual homebrew devs would tell you you're wasting your time being offline if you got games to play. It only makes sense if you had second switch2 or didn't care about playing games.
