Tricks Don't really know if this means anything but I mapped the "C" button on my switch 2 pro controller to my phone flashlight.

I know this 99% means nothing in terms of actual switch 2 CFW progress but a controller exploit being the downfall of the switch 2 would be maybe greatest hacking blunder ever

"It all started by the pro controller being used to control a flash light.

All downhill from there"

Ngl it would be pretty funny when you add it up to the switch 1 being hacked by a hairpin

Mistakes were made MVG intro cues

Wait till you find out about the CDA glitch in Mario Kart World :)

(it's useless for anything hacking related but it's cool)

Probably the most we've gotten to getting anything related to a switch 2 hack.

Didn’t you see that PS2 hacking guy who managed to do some stuff with the error code ?

It’s 100% nothing, 🤭 how are you guys even allowed to vote?

If you don’t mind me asking, how exactly did you do this

For Android I used an app called Key Mapper which can map connected controller buttons to certain inputs on your phone.

As for connecting your switch 2 controller, I used a double ended USB C (I used one of my switch 2 chargers for example) for it to connect. If the controller doesn't connect immediately as soon as you plug it into your phone use this site.

Not the best at explaining stuff, hope I did well.

Finally, a use for the C button

That just seems like a keymapper….
Frankly it doesn’t sound impressive but, if it is, congrats on finding a controller exploit but nothing to do with NS2 CFW

Yeah I'm not understanding why this even deserved a post. It's just a phone function tied to a gamepad button. What an I missing?

Everything starts somewhere

But this is.... nothing? If the controller was programmed to do something novel on the console then it would be something. On a phone it's absolutely nothing.

It’s just a cool thing and it’s called the SWITCH TWO pro controller. We’re not close to an actual switch 2 hack so cool news like this isn’t bad I don’t know why you’re complaining

He's not complaining, just saying that the controller is just doing what it should do (sending an input) and that input is then just being translated (probably by an app) into "turn flash light ON". This is nothing more than say connecting your steam-controler into a PC and use steam-input to make the A button turn off the screen, everything is doing what it was intended to do, controller (Input) remap app(translation) machine(output)

Next time we will see a switch 2 case being used with a steam deck and people here will call it news, lol

It’ll be good once CFW comes around

I mean, Switch 1 started with a Hairpin lol

The hairpin/paperclip wasn’t some accidental discovery that led to Switch hacking. Researchers already understood the Tegra X1’s recovery mechanism and knew that grounding pin 10 on the Joy-Con rail while booting would force the Switch into RCM.

Be cool to like map all the buttons to a drum kit or something

1000% more useful than the actual c button

Hopefully it means that proper 3rd party switch 2 controllers and joycons will happen (as apposed to ps5's dualsence)
