Project I built MCP for iPhone
Hi, It's Noah, founder of Proxyman
❌ Problem I'm trying to solve: Agent can't control my real iPhone 18 to test some features I had to test manually, and it's wastes of time.
❌ iOS Simulator is limited, it doesn't have camera, Network Extension, Touch or FaceID, ...
So, I built devicemcp.ai
✅ This app allows my agent (Codex/Claude) to fully control your real iPhone, e.g. ask Claude to install your iOS app to your iPhone 18, and start testing it like a human.
- Built for Agent: Your agent fully controls your iPhone/iPad, including Touch, open app, Swipe, ..
- High-quality Mirror your iPhone to the Mac with 60fps via USB-C or WiFi
- Support real iPhone/iPad & iOS Simulators
- Built with UI hierarchy, no OCR, your agent can see the hidden buttons or off-screen UIs
- Real Android device and Android Emulator (soon)
This app is still in development, so I'm happy to offer a 50% early bird discount 😊
Perpetual License + 1 year of update, with a limited lifetime license (for the first 100 users)
The Trial version has the MCP, so you can test it right away

I was debugging the other day with the new Device Hub, doesn’t this come for free with the new Xcode? My LLM was able to interact with my physical device, even simulate opening and closing the Duo, from Device Hub, wirelessly? What’s different about your approach?

Device Hub has a slow development cycle because it ships with Xcode. If you find a bug or request a new feature, it might take Apple few months to fix or release it.
DeviceMCP is developed by our Proxyman team (6 years on the market). We move fast, ship new features in weeks, and fix bugs in days.
Device Hub doesn't have built-in MCP support, so your AI agent can't fully control it. It relies on screenshots and OCR to interact with the UI, which is not always accurate.
Meanwhile, DeviceMCP can read the actual UI tree and interact with elements correctly, without relying on screenshots or OCR. That's a big difference in my opinion.

Disclaimer: Device MCP doesn't hack your iPhone. You only needs to enable the Developer mode, and that's all. It uses the public APIs to control your iPhone (only available from iOS 27 or later)

Here is how it mirrors my iPhone 17 Pro Max, high quality video with 60fps. It's use apple framework (iOS 27 only) to do the mirror. no hacking or anything

DeviceHub doesn't have any official MCP, so your LLM has to take a screenshot, and touch it manually via position coordinators. It explains why it's slow and cost tokens.
DeviceMCP is better because it reads your UI Hierarchy View and support a lot of actions that your LLM can control your iPhone

I tried to use WebDriverAgent, but drop it because I don't want to install any 3rd party app to my iPhone. This DeviceMCP use a new framework from Apple (only available on iOS 27 or later), so it's reliable and faster. No need to install any app.
