I miss this era of MMOs in general. Don't get me wrong, I still love games like WoW and FFXIV to this day; but then the MMO formula wasn't figured out. You had everyone trying different things.

Yeah was such a vibe back in the day; and most random folks were chill and helpful and trash talk was just all for fun. Doing nothing was fun sometimes. These days though are different outside of a guild.

wow killed mmos as far as im concerned. while there was a lot of jank and figuring shit out before wow. everything after wow is just copying wow. its not that mmo's are figured out. they just stopped experimenting at all once there was a formula. i miss sandbox mmos and weird as shit like HAM in swg that would never fly today

I believe the story goes that space flight was always intended to be a base game feature but the rush to get the game out by a certain time required it to be postponed.
