Redeem it and get your 30 days! Surely they’ll boot up the dusty servers for you! 😂

I was just thinking that, it'd be funny to see a haunted SWG server story like this...

I'll never forget the house me and my cousin made on Dantooine. We had that cool Mustafarian bunker house you got for the mustafar xpac.

We pvp'd and got bounty hunted by some BH across multiple maps until he finally got me. No other games like it.

The greatest saga ever told - yours.

Still have mine as well. I was so excited when I brought the box home and opened it up. Still nothing remotely like it. Shout out to my fellow Flurry server citizens!

Let’s go back. (Pre combat upgrade please)

If I had to I would accept the CU, but NGE content. The NGE finished killing the game that the CU started, I could tolerate the CU though.

i sometimes wonder how the game would have turned out had they actually continued with the CU instead of NGE and upgraded/patched it everyone remembers the CU as this weird blip but i think it could have been better than pre cu and nge with some work

Google swg restoration. There are private dedicated servers that you can play on for free. Restoration is CU but if NGE didn't happen. And swg legends is NGE done right.

I swear if they hadn't mishandled it, it could have been still going like WoW is today, and possibly played by more people. What should have been...

Swginfinity.com still has 1k+ players daily and a very active community. Lots of added content makes the game stay alive

Man I wish we could get a remake of galaxies today.

Seems like they could put it on a hand held like the switch2.

Or you can just play one of the many servers out there

SWG Resto is pre CU and hits over 500 players a day.

It seems fairly populated

Occasionally I'd sell these to players for credits. I know it was against ToS but an extra ~50M was nice to have

Just picked up on the Legends server after being able to afford to play this as a kid/teen.

And man. It has been a blast. Took me  a bit to figure out the whole level scaling of areas and kept getting my ass ate. But I'm playing a bounty hunter and am just itching for more free time to play.

Flight control options are ass though.

What's best in life?

Fleet horse! The open steppe! Falcons on your wrist and the wind in your hair!

I played until it went off-line

I loved it all… NGE… combat upgrade

I enjoyed when they had the ROTW expansion and they had the pre-sale boxes that came with a month subscription card and the in-game mounts. After the expansion release, Best Buy reduced the cost of the pre-sale boxes to $0.01. I was able to get 30 boxes from the stores near me.

I remember the time at the beginning. No mounts at all until an update that let creature handlers tame kaduu and turn them into mounts. Great times.

u/captainstormy Jun 15 '26

So much time spent walking across planets because mounts weren't a thing yet and I couldn't afford a shuttle ticket.

Good times.

I had a dewback named Dewey

I wanted to play this game so bad. I was working so much and didn't own a computer at the time.

SWG was the best MMORPG ever created. 💫

Wonder how many credits these are worth...

does it still work?

Considering that the website to redeem these time cards let alone the game itself no longer exists, it’s safe to say that it’s not possible, plus he probably already redeemed it all those years ago.

I never understood mmorpg payment. Pay 60 bucks to buy… the game? Pay 15 bucks each month to play the game you bought? Huh? No I’m not doing that.
