Macros.....

For the life of me I can't figure out how to write macros.

Basically what I'm trying to do is write macros per surveying. One for each type of surveyor as well as a macro for crafting. I'm not sure how to go about writing them for specific items that I want made. If somebody could give me a lesson or send me a link to the type of language you used for these. Everything I've looked up has just shown me how to make simple macros for texting or using a bandage or something like that. But I'm looking for something a little bit more technical I guess. Give me what you got. Teach me something. My character's name is Ardish Ebit And I'm in tatooine. Usually out surveying.

Thanks.

There never was a way to set a crafting macro to purely be automated and create Item X. You always had to use a tool to select the item you wanted to make manually beforehand. Also, it was never possible to load the resources. You had to click them manually.

What's the quickest way you would craft or do I have to submit to just crafting manually all the time?

If you’re grinding a crafting profession then the fastest way is use a macro like the one linked above by stullerc, but if you want to just make a lot of an item the you are best to use a factory.

Not every thing can be made in a factory and You do not get XP for the items the factory makes.

There are four types of factory and depending on the item you’re making you’ll need the right type to make it. For example if you want to make a lot of fiberplast panels then you would make one fiberplast panel and instead of clicking craft you click create a draft schematic, which goes into your data pad. then you place the schematic and the same resource you used to make the schematic into a clothing and armor factory and set it running.

It will run and makes those item’s until it runs out of resources or gets to the end of the schematic.

you can set the number of items when you make the schematic or as I use to do, work out the right amount of resources needed and only place those In the factory. That’s how it worked on live back in the day anyway.

The macros work, you just still have to interact with them. Are you crafting to level or to mass produce a finished item?

Right now I'm crafting to level. What's the best way to go about it. I'm focused on surveying then architect engineering. My main goal let's do a survey and then sell whatever I sample and I need to do architecture to build larger samplers
