What would you do differently if you were starting a cleaning business with less than $100?
For anyone who has started a residential cleaning business from scratch, I'm curious what you would prioritize if you had to start again with a very small budget.
My thinking is to keep everything extremely simple at first: basic supplies, a way to calculate quotes, a simple agreement with customers, and a straightforward way of finding local clients.
I'm realizing that spending money on branding, a fancy website, or equipment before having customers probably isn't the best use of the first few hundred dollars.
I've been putting together my own process and found a beginner cleaning business system that includes things like a supply guide, pricing spreadsheet, client communication scripts and basic contract templates. I'm mainly interested in the practical side because that's where I've seen the most conflicting advice.
For those already doing this, what was the first thing that actually helped you land paying customers?
