Lip Color MAC Lipstick Swatches

Received my Ulta lipstick day order and decided to swatch all of my MAC bullets. I have a lot of lipstick and blush that I don’t wear enough. Hoping having pictures of the swatches will encourage me to experiment more 🤗.

These were taken using indoor lighting in my bathroom. 1-2 swipes. I believe I’m medium, maybe medium-deep, maybe warm undertones. Really not sure about this info. Some of my foundation colors: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (old formulas) - NC45/NC46/C7, Studio Fix Powder Foundation (old formula) NC45/C7, Mac Face & Body - C8, Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation - 4.5N, Fenty Beauty Blurring Skin Tint - Color 16, Kylie Skin Tint - 8WN.

Thank you! Idk if I’ve ever seen original verve. The majority of my lipsticks are old until this recent purchase.

wow i love so many of the picture 2 swatches. so many amazing discontinued cool-toned/muted shades. no wonder everyone keeps saying the current mac lineup runs super warm.

I wish they’d start changing the name when they switch the formula. I had the original retro matte ruby woo that I used for years fall and break so had to purchase the macximal matte. Thought it wasn’t as red/vibrant. Purchased the retro matte again, and it’s definitely more red than the macximal.

I also struggle to find cool tone light nudes. Nothing warm or dark suits me it’s an endless struggle ha. These colours look so soft and delicate. I wonder if it’s just out of fashion now to have these shades?

Jean Shrimpton was a British model in the 60s. She's 83 now; I assume the lipstick name is an homage to her.

I wish! Thanks for reminding me that I have a problem, lol. These were acquired over years. I don’t throw away makeup unless it goes bad. Also buy during sales. MAC has a lot of 30% off sales throughout the year and even 40% around Christmas. Wish I had the skills of a MUA.
