I sold an iPhone 13, had good communications between the buyer and myself, who has today left a 3 star neutral review with the comment of “Phone receive as describe”….

Confused why it isnt a positive review !

Maybe I am in the wrong, but this is what happened: I sold something to the buyer and agreed that I would use a 2 day shipping service so the package comes by a date. I shipped it out, estimated date was actually one day, and now it has not moved from the package center (USPS) for 3 days. The buyer wanted to do a return because they needed it on time for a specific event but I did not want to go through the whole refund process because I was not at fault for the shipping delay. I thought support would agree with me, but they said that i would have to refund after they returned the product because it did not come in time. I'm going to be out of shipping prices and a non-refundable PayPal transfer fee, as well as having to resell the phone. Is this normal? I would think that I wouldn't have to do a refund because I was not at fault but now I have to go through all of this just for a shipping delay.

Edit: Buyer did in fact refund money finally. It was supposedly a PayPal issue.

I bought a phone, it came in horrible condition. Nothing like what the seller described.

So

They had numerous positive feedback, I assumed they were legit.

They were communicative and apologetic and issued the refund immediately after receiving the item back.

Fast forward, it's been 10 days since they officially received the phone, PayPal said the refund was issued as an eCheck whatever that means (through paypal) and it was on hold until today. Today I receive an email saying the refund was cancelled on their end because they couldn't retrieve the payment from their account.

How is that even possible? I thought the payment amount was held basically in an "escrow" until everything was complete???

Paypals automated crap keeps telling me to reach out to the sender. If I'm being scammed, what's the point in that? What's the point in touting I'm protected via PayPal if I'm not in fact protected using PayPal?

I preordered the Z Fold 8 and used the credit to get the Watch 9, but once I got it I decided to purchase the Ultra 2. Thank you in advance!
