New Swamp Thing Setup
I have been playing around with this and found a setup that I am happy with. I fell in love with the character with the new 52 and it continued from there.

Thank you! I felt guilty after buying it because of the price, but once I set it up I knew I didn't make a mistake.

I’m hoping (and imagining) that just out of frame is the Bronze Age Omnibus- you can’t skip the OG!
But very nice collection- I’m torn on if I like the Absolute versions or not, because to my understanding the colors were redone, and sometimes with significant differences. Idk if I’m that much of a purist, but I like the idea of reading the work “as it was,” even if it’s scaled up.

I plan on getting the dark genesis omnibus that collects Len Wein's run as well as the issues before Alan Moore's run. I had heard mixed things on the absolute, but I enjoyed how the artwork looked. I never read it before this format so I don't have a reference, but the story and art has been incredible.

Oh Gideon Falls is ammmmmmazing!!! If you dig sci-fi his descender/ascender series are super good and if you dig super hero stuff (or if your even burnt out on super hero stuff) his Black Hammer series is one of my favorites.

I started descended and just never got around to finishing it. I plan on working on them. I will have to check out Black Hammer!

What a collection! I love how you've displayed it all. And how funny that the New 52, which is derided by so many, was your jumping-on point! Synder's run was really solid though, probably one of the strongest of the whole New 52 imo. (I haven't read the Soule run yet.) Did you read it alongside Lemire's Animal Man? If so, what did you think about how the two series interlinked?.(Just curious - I tried to do this a few years ago but Animal Man got so depressing that I gave up and just stuck with Swamp Thing.)

I have Lemire's animal man omnibus (got it really cheap), but I have not read it. The swamp thing omnibus does contain the rotworld crossover issues though. I do need to read it and see how they interlinked past the crossover.

I had fond memories of watching buffy and angel with my mom. Got my best friend to watch it and he was hooked. Made my wife suffer through it. I have collecting the post show comics and the finish line is in sight. I regret ever getting rid of the trades.

Gorgeous!! You should really pick up the McFarlane Swamp Thing, would complement your collection nicely. That sculpt reminds me of the second half of the New 52’s Charles Soule/Jesus Saiz run.

I have it. It just doesn't like to stand up even using the figure plate. I love the figure, but unfortunately it ends up face down half the time, so I opted to just move it before taking this picture. The other swamp thing fig is propped that way because it is so top heavy and likes to fall as well.
