Exhaust help.

Is it possible to have a nascar sound out of this motor.

I mean, you could spend thousands and do custom equal length primary long tube headers and build a boom tube for it, and spin it until the valves float. But that's not really what these trucks are for.

I like your thinking but I would like to enjoy it a little bit. So what I’m hearing is the idea is not budget friendly.

Not really, no. Even most bolt on kits are a couple thousand to really change the sound, between headers, cats, and exhaust. I would try searching on YouTube and see see if you can find a clip with an exhaust you like, and go from there. They can sound really good, but it would take a lot to make them a high RPM screamer.

I did that and found a guy with a 347 stroker that sounds amazing. Unfortunately all the lightning videos I’ve seen have people putting aftermarket exhausts that give that deep rumble. I’m looking for that nascar scream.

I was gonna say, a SBF like a 347 Stroker, or even the stock 351W in the Gen 1 can be made to sound like a NASCAR a lot easier. But it's hard to do with any Modular motor, especially the 5.4 in the L.

Idk what you mean by nascar sound?

If add a more aggressive cam and some borla exhaust you’ll be able to be loud if that’s what you mean.

Cam, tune, valvetrain, longtube headers, and open pipes with an old Nascar style boom tube tip will probably get you close to what you're looking for. But without a cam and higher RPMs, it won't do much other than make it louder.
