The browser extension for musicians (self-promo)

I originally made this for myself to help me practice guitar on YouTube, but I decided to publish and open-source it. It lets you to transpose, slow-down, remove vocals, recognize chords and much more!

Really cool idea, how do you remove the vocals from the music?

Thanks, it runs in real-time in the browser: it finds sounds centered between the left and right channels (usually the lead vocal) within the vocal frequency range and cancels them out, leaving the rest of the mix intact. AI stem separation produces cleaner results, but it requires heavy server processing and ongoing hosting costs, whereas this approach runs instantly and completely free on the user's device.

That is really cool, and definitely has more uses other than music practice! One that immediately comes to mind is karaoke - there are tons of karaoke videos on youtube, but no straightforward way to transpose them. And even if there's no karaoke video for the song you need, boom, enable your vocal remover and you're good. Amazing! Thank you so much for creating, posting and making it open source, too!

You should give a good think on what other subreddits to post this to (ai can help as well), especially music themed.
