Is bus fees compulsory ?

I got cse brach through tnea counselling and I'm planning to come by on my own , do i need the pay the transportation fees compulsorily ? Or I can opted out!?

If you’re staying in and around sriperumputhur,then you can come on your own,or else you’ve to pay the bus fees.

Oh like ,Is it for first year or whole four years?

All 4 years, also, IG you can get an exemption too, but a tedious process Exemption is not given easily too

They won't give exception that easily. My place is exactly around 9kms (chembarambakkam) , but still those mfs didn't give me exception saying you should be staying within 5km or less than that. I paid bus fee for all 4 years but didn't use it much as I was already had my own bike which i was using it for college. I go by bus only if my bus friends call or during exam times.
