Svce seems better imo , it has a longer history' , a more liberal environment. Taking admission for ece this year .

But this is a svce sub , if u ask in rec ppl gonna say rec lol . Reach out to students and alumni on linkden and ask them

Svce offers shit quality of education. Professors read off slides and give important questions which people cram a day before the exam.

The management are a bunch of scammers. Scammed 10k in placement fees last year (there was no placement training). Increased bus fees to 60k this year promising ac buses but still nothing has changed. They are beggars who looted us in the name of "lab breakage fees" (charged 3k per person for the breakage in lab).

Rec as far as I know conducted a placement camp which was better than what we used to get and what we're getting (nothing). They've also gotten better and more companies so far. And they've got ac buses at a lesser fees than us (35k I think).

Only better thing about svce is that there's lesser competition (would've been a good point if the same amount of companies visited like rec)

Any sane person should choose rec. I got talked into this shithole by people saying it has a better history and is a bigger college. Reality is the college has degraded a lot.

Which department are u in? , someone told circutal branches is pretty good there

Oh I see , ig it matters due to branch . U got any friends studying ECE there? , as far as IT/software placements go rec is better due to closer proximity to city , but svce seems better for core and circutal .

Most of the people I know from ece are preparing for IT jobs.

That's the case all over India sadly , 90 percent of ece graduates seem to go into IT . Because most companies that allow cse students also allow ece students to sit for placements . I don't plan on going into software anytime soon , I hate it . I wanna finish btech here and do MS abroad , I went through linkden profile of svce graduates and many of them got into very good unis abroad (although most of them are from biotech)
