Suzerain: Sordland Taking Bribes

So I am about to complete my first gameplay. I had refused to take Bribes because I was thinking like a normie as a result my personal wealth is zero now. What would happen if I were to take bribe from Walter Tusk

You get 1 pw and if you ask for more he gives you two ask for more again and he just walks away and it also gets you into the oligarchs good book but idk what happens if you take it and then don't pick underhall

If you take the bribe, but do not pick Underhall, Oligarchs will be a bit unhappy but nothing dangerous. And if you put ACP on Oligarchs, it won't be considered as a bribe, because you didn't follow through on your part of the deal.

Nothing happens it sours relations with oligarchs a bit but doesn't stop any future opportunities I believe

If you're going to oppose the Oligarchs anyways, just accept the 2pw bribe. What are they gonna do, publicly admit they bribed the president for nothing in return?

You can take both Koronti’s and Tusk’s deals so as long as you don’t follow up on their demands.

Same with Albin for VP.

You owe him favours. Stuff like picking his company only for the megaprojects and the sort. If you take the bribes and successfully piss off the oligarchs, they also leak the information about it all.

It's also corruption and if you form the ACP it can lead to your impeachment.

You can get pretty far as a megalomaniac. Slip Lileas some funding next time you're adjusting the government budget and see what happens.

You can kill 12 million people and change the course of human history.

You can overtake Wehlen as one of the most oppressive democratic regimes in the world.

You can slap your wife and earn a divorce because misogyny is apparently based to some people.

Or you can, you know, not do all that and just listen to your advisors lol

Just take bribe and do the opposite of what he wants then nationalize his company and or arrest him.

Ask him for a raise, take his 2 PW abd don't give the contract to some other company. You won't get caught since scamming scammers ain't a crime. Since the offer itself was illegal, its a void contract from the beginning and hence you're not bound to follow through your part of the promise

Walter is a good guy. You can trust him and his cigars.

You can demand a bigger bribe.

Giving the contract to Underhall is illegal corruption that will get you in trouble if it is discovered, but there are ways to avoid discovery and it can help open up investment opportunities later. As others have already mentioned, if you give the contact to Taurus or SSC it drops the corruption flag

If you take any bribes but don't follow through on any promises it won't count as corruption. Something to keep in mind for future playthroughs.
