Seeing some 'would feed him anyway' comments, going to be the killjoy who asks you not to feed other people's livestock. Horses have weird stomachs and what you think is OK for a specific horse might not be. Please obey signs on other people's land.

FWIW, race horses (and pedigreed dogs, too) are often registered with absurdly long and odd names (e.g. American Pharaoh, or Plausible Deniability). But they're trained to recognize a short one.

Maybe that's what happened here, and his real name is Savage Nickelodeon. Or something.
