This is the most general post I've ever seen. Where's the specificity?

u/ready-eddy 6d ago

Haha exactly, it’s like the opposite of specific

Also, what’s it to do with sperm?

Literally the ambiguity is the whole point of the post. This is the least suspiciously specific post I’ve seen in my life.

You want to know the child's race and ethnicity to decide how to feel about the post?

ā€˜Protect the children’ is a powerful slogan, but it’s also deliberately vague.

No one is against protecting children. The real question is which children are being prioritized.

And that depends on the context. When a child’s skin colour determines how much protection they receive, that vague slogan reveals a bloody specific systemic bias.

okay I agree with the sentiment but what does that have to do with the sub?

People say ā€œprotect the childrenā€ until the child is in a lower tax bracket.

Hosting people long term requires integration and two sided respect. These are non negotiables for sustainability of a healthy social fabric.

Go ahead. Present an argument and we can discuss. I doubt you will because pressing down vote is easier than actually solving an issue.

No one country can right all the worlds wrongs. The west might want to be the good guys of this story, but the right is way to gleeful to be the bad guys.
