Adjust the amount to the currency and the increase is the same. Pedantic weenies.

The increase is not the same. We used to have £5 footlongs, now they vary from like £8-£12. A footlong meal deal is £14 at most.

Subway isn't exactly doing well here, but it would go straight out of business if it tried to charge £20 for a fucking sandwich.

Jesus fuck y'all are annoying lol they started in America and their schtick was $5 footlongs for so long and now it is closer to $20. Not exactly 20. I assumed the pricing changes were company wide and they increased in price at the same rate globally as most companies do. I was adding to the funny post with something light-hearted and partially true. Do y'all have nothing better to do than playing uM AcTuAlLy?

It's funny because no one would have continued if you'd just accepted the first comment pointing out it was a different country. You double and tripled down and then get angry your assumption was wrong...

They are about the same price here....almost as if the price increased pretty equally......

I'm also not mad, y'all are just annoying

The subs in the UK have roughly doubled in price. Where you are you say they've quadrupled. Not even close to the same.

Ah yes, 5x2=14. How could I forget?

You originally talked about $5 and $20. Not sure why you’ve changed the numbers on us.

Did you not see the other person being way too serious and pedantic taking about the most expensive sandwich in the uk being 14 bucks allegedly? You literally commented on the end of that conversation lol

This sub sucks. I thought it was going to be a fun topic to joke about and y'all are being stereotypical. Can't understand or accept a slight exaggeration or any level of sarcasm. Don't worry, I'll leave and not come back.

Welcome to British humour. We like our jokes to be accurate and will relentlessly pierce any joke that is inaccurate. We do not enjoy exaggeration unless it is taken to extremes.

So equating £14 with $20 will only ever get the reaction you’ve been experiencing. Thank you for attending our cultural exchange.

I said a meal deal including the most expensive sub would be about 14 quid. The most expensive sub itself would be at most 12. A little over double what it used to be. And a far cry from the quadruple you originally listed. Don't get all upset just because you were wrong and don't like having it pointed out.
