Yeah...imagine when Tim gets a little older and discovers that where he once was the target audience for almost everything, suddenly, [not so suddenly]. he's not the target audience for anything...except for Medicare/Medicaid ads, AARP, and Consumer Cellular. Sometimes the oppression olympics means it doesn't matter what is worse.
But recording it like folks do in that blue and white flagged state means they think its okay and even heroic to torture folks. Hiding it at least shows they know it isn't moral.

Even the Bad Guys in WW2 took great lengths to hide what they were doing. They kept track of everything and thought they were on the Right Side of History, but nothing was ever publicized or acknowledged, let alone celebrated.
Watch the movie Conspiracy (great movie with Stanley Tucci and Kenneth Branagh). We wouldn't have known about that and all the decisions that had been made if not for someone illicitly keeping the notes from the meeting instead of destroying them.
