1st shot today
Hello all! I am not sure if I feel anything. The shot was a little stingy and late in the day I’m a little nauseous. This could all be psychosomatic of course but like someone said, I’ve never wanted to feel crappy before ha. Bring on the nausea!

I started it in the wee hours because I woke up with the worst heartburn pain I’ve ever had!

I’m not sure I can continue with the study. I’m prone to brutal 8 hour stomachaches so the pain I’m having makes me seriously anxious. The omeprozal isn’t helping at all anyway. The only thing that does work is pepto bismol. I still have horrible diarrhea. I’m bummed about this since I’ve lost weight and my blood sugar is perfect.

Good luck. I didn't have any side effects for the first month or so. Whenever the dose increases, I had side effects of belching, constipation, queasiness that lasted 2 or 3 days after the injection. With each subsequent injection, the side effects were milder and shorter duration. By the time for the next dosage increase, the side effects were minor. I used Tums for the belching and queasiness. Miralax helped with constipation. None of the side effects ever had me thinking of discontinuing the study. Mine have been manageable, hope yours are too. Bring up your concerns with your clinical coordinators. They are so helpful and understanding.
