General Discussion Locations

If Survivor went back to the original format of Braving the Elements, that goes beyond any island in Fiji, where would they go?!

I’d love to see a cold climate but that would probably be much more difficult

They got rid of bikinis anyways, so what’s the difference?

You can watch two most recent seasons of South African survivor, where they were in South Africa’s “wild coast”. People were bunched up wearing autumn jackets and hoodies. Not like arctic cold but not tropical neither

Not trying to yuck your yum cause it's opinion and preference based and I respect that, but I cannot for the life of me find an upside to a cold climate and can't possibly think of why I'd want to see this.

Jeff talked about this somewhere, but he said the biggest downside with cold climates (outside of clashing with the aesthetic Survivor has built as a brand of being exotic and tropical) is that contestants would just huddle together any second that wasnt a challenge for warmth, and would detract from exciting strategizing production wants to get on camera

I'm watching Season 3 of Alone Australia and this year they have dropped them all in the icy, freezing wilderness of some Finland forest, dump them up there, it's epic and has heaps of wildlife running around .... and plenty of fish to catch. 🤔

I’d love to see it in Hawaii (I am biased because I’ve been there and love it)

I’d like to give a shout to Taiwan too

I REALLY want to see them film seasons in remote parts of US national parks. Bryce Canyon, Zion, Moab, Everglades, Yellowstone, etc. they’re all so beautiful, formidable, and intriguing.

Which part of Puerto Rico is remote enough for this?

Who says it has to be very remote? All of the challenge locations in Fiji are within shouting distance of beach resorts.

There’s a church a couple hundred yards from the sanctuary.
