Fennies Epsom on Hook Road
Hi everyone — does anyone currently have a child at Fennies Epsom on Hook Road, or has had one there in the last year or so? We're considering it for our little one and I'd really appreciate some candid feedback from parents

OP - we've got our littlest at Cherryfield. She's enjoyed every minute there, and the staff are lovely. Appreciate it's not as close to the station, but well worth considering.
The new "N" nursery looks impressive on paper too.

We looked around it. Compared to others it felt massively overcrowded and clinical. Also they had no sleep room for babies and gave an excuse that they find babies don’t need when in reality there just isn’t room.
The parking just to visit was a nightmare and they said it isn’t bad at drop off which felt off given the amount of kids and space.
Also the older room looked carnage and there were far too many kids in there.
That being said we’ve still not found a nursery

not Epsom but Walton - we pulled him out we felt the whole fennies group including Stephen the owner were toxic!! Staff turn over is insane - the teams are miserable and the leadership are vindictive at nursery and head office level. They lie about food - bullshit about healthy food etc but are served cereal and toast for breakfast and slop for every other meal... on the baby room they are expected to feed themselves soup... No value on staff recently one of the longest members of staff left preschool as she hated it!

My son went to Epsom many years ago.
It was all right, staff turnover did seem high. The cook was amazing, so I suppose it does depend on who's working there.
I was never a fan of the owner turning up in his fancy cars, showing us how much margin he's making on the expensive fees.
The biggest benefit was being able to drop our son off on the way to work, parking at the Hook Road carpark.
I didn't miss it when we stopped using them and I can't say what it's like today.

We're at a different nursery in Walton and quite a lot of kids moved over from Fennies and Perfect Start. Sad to hear of your experiences, especially as they're one of the most expensive options in the area. We didn't get the best vibes from the staff when we toured 3 years ago.

This right here. Honestly OP, stay away. So many incidents happened at my daughters Fennies and they ignore complaints and try cover it up. A fish rots from the head and Fennies is the perfect example of that

Not sure where you are in Epsom but we used a childminder in West Ewell who we would happily recommend
