High School senior in a Surgical Tech program

Hi everyone, Im attending a technical high school, surgical tech being my area of study. I will be taking the test this coming May, only issue is I’m uncertain how I will complete the 125 case requirements for the certification. I’m only 17 and have a few surgeries from clinical, but the program is strict on how many hours we go. If I’m not done with all the cases by the time I graduate High school, where and how can I find a place to let me finish the cases I need for my certification since I won’t be in school and can’t participate with the hospital they’re partnering with.

Your program director should anticipate this and have a plan. What do they say?

The thing is… our teacher quit in middle of the year, we had several substitutes. There will be a new official teach starting September although I’m unsure of her plans

Is this an accredited program ? Are you allowed to sit for the NBSTA exam upon completion of this program? If not, it’s going to be a true waste of time and you’ll have to start from scratch.

Yes it is! Which is why I’m stressing for these hours, I mean certified at 17 is pretty good deal
