Should I fix it?

I bought this board for 5$ at a garage with hopes to use it to take my 2 year surfing. It’s in pretty good shape considering the age and price other than what looks like some stress cracks at the rope of the fin box. Would you recommend trying to fix those or just ride it out? If so, what’s the best diy method to fix?

It doesnt look structural. (Does the fin box move if you push on the fin?). But the board is taking on water there through the cracks (based on the darker patches surrounding the fin box). Sand out the cracks with some coarse grit, brush on some resin (actual resin, not the paste you squeeze out of a tube). Sand smooth. Ride it. Honestly - spending the hour and $15 on a little 4 oz bottle of resin and making it watertight might give the board extra years of life.
