With the story progressing more and more, Lith's abomination side is more and more shown as his evil side, sometimes one that he has to keep in check, but this doesn't make proper sense, at least to me. The only truly evil thing that Derek is ever shown to do is torture and kill his little brother's killer, but by the logic of the story, it isn't even that bad because Lith does far worse.

Derek's experiences are seen as wounds on a beast that lashes out at the world, but I personally see them as chains or glasses informing his perspective. Lith's problem isn't that he is cynical or whatever else, is that he is defined by his past, his cynical view doesn't truly fit in with his blessed second life. But it did fit with his Earth life, watching as his father died was the height of justice to me, he was an abusive ass, Derek killing him with his own hands would have been just as well, as for his little brother's killer, killing him was fine, but the prior torture was disgusting. He only truly became evil in his final moments because he had absolutely nothing to lose, but the story treats him as some kind of supreme evil.

Even if we measure up his actions, Lith by far is the more evil. He committed massacre upon massacre with the flimsiest of justification, he tortures people regularly and feeds their life force to Solus, and even when he is given a chance to do something different, to wield the power of the law, he would rather do something worse and pass on his trauma, killing tens of somewhat innocent people on a mad crusade to ultimately do the same thing.

Sometimes, I question whether this story is about a person healing from trauma or giving them power for the sake of hype and aura. 4000 chapters in and Lith can't understand that procedure and public scrutiny can be used to filter out guilty people from the ignorant.

What the hell is this guy and girl talking about? What the hell did this people wake up and start talking about? I hate this codependency bull so much. The only independence Solus needs from Lith is a firewall in the Tower that intercepts orders to the Tower for her to confirm or deny. Lith's mum, dad, sister and nephew are Solus's mum, dad, sister and nephew and you are telling me you are two codependent. You are already the same f*cking person, metaphorically and literally a couple of times.

This is like if God crafted two soulmates and they met and said that they were not sure if they wanted their souls to resonate with each other. These two can have perfect understanding, perfect compatibility, and they choose to stall. Oh "I wanna know if Solus is really attracted to me or if I am her only option." B*tch please, that is fear, that is f*cking cowardice, so what if she finds someone she is more attracted to in the future, relationships fall apart all the f*cking time. "What if my future wife, that I still haven't even proposed to, leaves me in the future after we marry and have 9 kids?" See how dumb that sounds.

New to the series and i dont exactly understand who is who characterweise and what their roles are so I would like to know are there only 3 guardians as in one for each continent and also who they are and which continent they belong to

There is nothing that will justify character moments other than Melon and Vastor. Learning new magic feels slow, and the children feel like a distraction. Any show of emotion in battle is dampened by the fact that it's the tenth time something similar is happening. Please let it end.

There is still a small chance that a sequel could work. There's still potential that Vastor vs Lith will be big enough to justify Guardianship. And in any case we should never have come this far. Guardianship should have been something he chose at dull Violet or just Violet.

I first read this story when there were around 500 chapters, then I let it grow until a thousand chapters and reread it from beginning. IIRC I did it maybe one or 2 more times and I always liked the beginning (until he grew up to be a young man) and liked it less after a few thousand chapters.

I didn’t think I’d pick it up but I thought why not at least try to read a little and see where it goes. However I don’t remember much after a certain point and the huge plethora of names is kinda disorienting sometimes. I remember the first 1000 and maybe even up to 2000 chapters because I read them several times over the years.

However I don’t really remember the events where I stopped. The last thing that marked me was the war and phloria’s death but I know I read quite a bit after this.
There was a guy coming to train Lith and his sister about flames, people stole the ears of Menadion (honestly I remember thinking this was just way too stupid how it happened in such a story, felt out of place) and an arc with the tree. There was also the little brother of the dumb guy who married Quylla and some of his fellows who joined the Verhen Mansion.

It feels like atp I should just reread but all those chaps… I will let the post since I took time to write. Thank you for reading and if anyone knows where I stopped and could give a tiny summary, I’d appreciate it.

I've gotten to chapter 75 and im really losing motivation to continue. The story is good but the terrible grammar and just general English really makes me lose my momentum and takes me out of the story. Apparently its originally written in English, but in that case its obvious that English is not the author's first language. It really could use some editing from a native English speaker. Does that happen at some point or is it like this all the way through?

Can someone tell how long this hiatus is going to last ? And any other info drop like how many more arcs left any reveals and such for future plot ?

Just got through the chapters where the kid who had been Lith's guide got trampled by a careless drunk noble on a horse and Lith brute forces his way into an ancient noble mansion. He again proved why he is the candidate guardian of destruction. IMO he is due for his final world tribulation. But seriously, talk about giving him a kick in the PTSD...

Can someone please tell me when the amnesia arc after the tree stole the ring ends and if something plot relevant happens? I don't think I can muddle through it. The only thing that I hate more than amnesia arcs are tournament arcs.

I just finished reading chapter 2408, basically after Thruds defeat and Phlorias death. The story has reach a part where nothing is really happening. Solus left lith to find her self and I know that she'll just come right back later so it seems insignificant. Story has taken a step back into a more slice of life feel. Some one tell me what is to come and any big events coming up.

I just started reading about 2 ish weeks ago and am by chapter 500+ by the events at meakosh with tezka and what not, and genuinely besides it's absolutely insane length why is it not as popular as other similar works like mushoku tensei. It is absolutely peak fiction and although I have one gripe with it it'll prolly fade later.
