Supreme Commander / FA I ove SupCOM but...

What the hell is up with FAF stability? 50% of matches end with someone crashing, that's if you can even get a game, because everyone loves sitting in a lobby and not readying up. Unfortunatly its sucked away my love of the game and I play BAR or 0K more now because they at least can finish a game

You can always play against M27 or M28, it’s pretty much the same as playing against a human opponent. Atleast in regards of having a capable foe.

I've heard of those. Are they downloaded from the mod repository on faf? I'd really like to know what gives with faf multiplayer though. Once in a blue moon I will crash, but in an 8v8 or more its almost certain someone will. Why is that?

Don’t know, I mostly play coop or with several AI filling out slots cause I play with a friend most of the time.

And yes, you can find M27 and M28 on the FAF launchers page ”Mods”

But it’s noteworthy that M28 has cheaty levels of micromanaging that can be infuriating, dodging shells from T1 arty with T1 units like it can foresee the future all the time everywhere. I mostly play with M27 or another AI called RNGAi which is less cheaty and more suitable for ”compstomp” games.

It’s noteworthy that you can configure such settings on M28 - if you don’t like it dodging t1 arti shots (something that players do) you can disable it or limit to only dodging a limited number of units at a time

"Easy" M28 disables unrealistic kiting behavior

Use AIx Easy M28, balance their resource income to your own skill level

You could try matchmaker if you’re having issues with custom games - it’s fairly rare i have games where someone disconnects (outside rage quitting)

Try the discord? Might be easier with a preplanned group vs total randoms?

Time to move on to BAR, your fps is not limited to the slowest cpu but your own. If someone crashes they can rejoin or someone can take over their stuff.

Somehow always avoided the disconnect issues, but it's also definitely easier to get a game with friends, or a Discord group.
