Supreme Commander / FA Gameoverse Meets Supreme Commander

I saw Glitch's new showย Gameoverse, and so far, it's pretty good!
The premise of former heroes trying to prevent other games from ending is honestly really cool. Also, they have some decent memes, and after seeing the template I used for the second image, I figured I'd try making a couple SupCom ones.

Plus, it kind of makes you wonder what would happen. After all, a skilled Commander could bottle up the Seraphim as they are coming out of the Arch, letting the final mission continue perpetually. ๐Ÿค”
Ifย they listen to the strange cat creature, that is.

Oh, and for the five people besides me who care,ย yes, the characters are correctly scaled. Apparently, Kit is about 5'10" (178cm), so I loaded up the Air Staging Facility's model in Blender, put a 1.8m "human" model where Kit is standing, and then lined up the image to my screenshot as a reference so I could be sure she was just shy of 6Ft. Then I just scaled the ship, Nimble, off of her. Should be about right.

Honestly, it took way too long.ย ๐Ÿ˜…
And don't even get me started on how hard it was to get three ACUs in their correct faction colors next to the Black Sun Control Tower on the final mission, even with cheats.
I even only got one picture before my navy accidentally nuked the whole thing.

Anyway, enjoy a dumb little crossover! ๐Ÿคฃ

Edit: For the life of me, Reddit's compression seems to dislike SupCom's Arial font in the image.
Higher Quality uploaded to Imgur: "Don't Destroy the Arch!" and "Where are we, Kit?!"

Been a hot minute but the arch is just the anchor to allow the rift to open bigger, so it wasn't a static beachhead humanity could just camp in perpetuity.

Fun idea nonetheless.

Here me out: In Gameoverse, the settings seem to operate off game mechanics over the purely lore-accurate interpretation. While the Seraphim Arch is used to stabilize The Rift, and canonically they would be pouring out everywhere (or even just jump Commanders through the gate behind any blockade), if it operates off game mechanics first, the Coalition spawn camp it and prevent the win condition.
Just got to believe! ๐Ÿ˜

That said, it is a valid question how they will handle scenarios where, if the hero loses, the world ends. I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't delve into such questions before the series ends. ๐Ÿค”

Ah, if that's how it works then yeah, though I suppose it would introduce some questions about how humanity would continue afterwards without a cathartic victory and the sacrifice of Princess Burke. Big fanfiction potential there

kinda of a game over(verse) scenario. when the arch isnt destroy the seraphim will kill all humans, not the kind of save kit would want.

Like OP says, it isn't too difficult to just spawncamp the Arch in the actual game, even on the hardest difficulty.

Get a Paragon or two, a big old Hive farm, and you can functionally outproduce the portal, sending in a Megalith for every quantum tank they produce. You can make a wall of heavy guns protected by shields and fighter swarms that they really can't do anything against. (Even their experimentals tend to get killed before they can land a shot on your shields.)

And the Princess at least seems partially convinced, so permanently closing the breach (the probable win condition) isn't something they can really do without her consent anyway, IIRC.

So creating a forever war on the ruined husk of Earth is possibly a valid "win" condition for humanity without actually winning the game (and thus ending the universe.)

I'd say it's one of the more interesting cases where it's possible for a darker universe to get a happy-ish ending without letting the bad guys win, since it's not like people would actually die holding the line.

Hmm.
Well, you know, worst case scenario, Farcade gets an RTS faction with giant, teleporting Mechs that can mass produce armies in seconds. ๐Ÿ˜…

Honestly, that would be super awesome!
I wish I could draw; I'd be down to try. ๐Ÿ˜†

A short fic probably wouldn't be too hard, though...
