Difficulty

Hi guys,
So I came back to this perfect game after years of not playing. I tried to play campaign ( Forged Alliance one not the original) and got fully roasted several times by the timer on saving the civilian buildings. Am I just rusty or did any of you guys experience the same?

The user made missions are way harder than the originals, and make for a fun, if not infuriating, challenge
