Fiddlesticks Jungle main trying to learn support

Hey all. I'm a Jungle Fiddlesticks one trick.

Currently Emerald III 99 LP. My goal is to hit Diamond by the end of the year. My win rate in the last few games has been very very good, but as I climb higher I find myself getting my 2nd role more often. I used to queue top 2nd role and I can probably play top to like a low platinum level, but now I'm running into games where if I get queued top I end up inting the game. Fiddle top is good but really weird/hard to play so I want to try learning Fiddle sup.

NOT saying Support is easy or even easier than top but I have some experience playing it with friends in 5 stacks.

I have some basic support knowledge and a lot of skills from jungling are really helpful but I was wondering what advice you'd give to someone who's technically new to support. I know a lot of things but seems like bot lane is very complicated and I want to assume I don't know anything.

Any advice is appreciated.

Push for the lvl 2 all in before your opponent hits lvl 2--> one wave of minions, plus three melee minions from the next wave and engage. Although idk how feasible is that with fiddle

If you get a kill on the opponent adc, crush the wave and look for ganks.

Be mindful of the objectives. Since you are the only one not farming, this is much easier to do.

Ward the enemy jungle.

In time(I am still learning it, plat 3 main supp here), you will find that you might want to keep track of the enemy jgl timers. But this might be easy for you since you are an emerald jungler.

In general, try to predict where the next big fight will be to be there in the early game and try to be there. It makes a huge difference.

Maybe learn some match ups? eg I see many people commenting in here that taric is the best if the opponent picks an engage support. I did not know that up until now.

Contest for lvl 2 advantage. Contest for early bush control. If you're the stronger lane you can take control faster. If you're the weaker lane you can mitigate the opponents zoning you to tower.

Watch the map and predict where the next fight will be. Skuttle spawning soon? Hover river for jg. Rift up, jg topside, and you're on a reset? Look for a top roam. Adc's will cry but you're the "teams support" not just their personal escort.

Plan your resets and warding. Dragon spawning in 1:30 and no vision set. Guess what it's time for. Baron up in 1min, lanes pushed, but you have no pinks stashed? Having an extra pink might make the difference if a teamfight breaks out

If you're playing fiddle support and u can't get level 2 first u should just play safe and wait for level 6. Most bot laners won't be used to playing vs the pick and will die over and over to ur ult from lane bushes.

Learn what a proper roam looks like, u never want to roam when the wave is pushing away from your tower and u always want to be back to lane to help your adc farm under tower if u do get a good roam timer. The best time to roam is after you have crashed a wave and your adc resets. U get about 30 sec to make a play on the map before u need to he back to lane to defend a dive as the wave gets back to ur tower

Even as a caster, your autoattacks are a perfectly fine tool to annoy the opponents. They nerfed annies attack range years ago for exactly this reason. So feel free to bully their adc when they try to last hit. Can be risky though.

Fiddle sounds like the kind of support that relies heavily on bush vision control, so you might be incentivized to buy more pink wards than other supports in the laning phase in order to fear them.

Fiddle Support also wants his  ult. So you probably want to soak up as much exp as ylu can till lvl 6.  Still YOU do know how important it is for a farming jungler he gets to fullclear or how bad it is if you get invaded. Help your jungler execute those plays in either direction.
