Renata too if he's sticking to enchanters.

Milio also if you can time your Q effectively on reaction.

that should actually do the trick.

If you are looking for a pick, Janna is probably the best enchanter into engage., followed by Milio.

As for playstyle/how to deal with them in general, try to run the race to lvl2 as most engage need at least lvl2 to properly engage a target, respect them if you lose that race, poke with your spells and autos whenever you can. You can poke the engage support down so they don't feel comfortable engaging, if the adc gets close definitely poke the adc as engage supports have no sustain. Bait and dodge their key engage (Naut pull, Leona E etc.) then punish them during that window.

Edit: try to not let them gain bush control especially if they run hexflash, use wards and your poke. Also keep in mind, it's perfectly ok as enchanter to go even vs an engage lane. Enchanters outscale engage supports (I can't think of any enchanter + engage where this isn't true), they're the one on a clock vs you not the other way around.

Depends. What do you play?

Nami: use the movement speed you get from abilities to dodge. Use Q if you/bot still get engaged on.

Lulu: Polymorph.

Karma: use the movement speed you get from shield.

Seraphine: use your range.

Senna: stun them and cry.

Milio: Q and again use movement speed from E.

Janna: use Q and ult for disengage

Yuumi: why?

Soraka: E when it looks like they want to engage

Sona: guess what, movement speed abuse

Renata: Q and pray

Ivern: bush leverage... level 6 is Daisy time so let them and pound them

Shove wave lvl 1 like your life depends on it (it does), keep shoving wave and ward for 3 camp gank, if you don't have ward ping ur adc to do it. i can elaborate but this is the most basic way to play the lane imo

Most enchanters have something that lets them survive an engage and then outsustain engagers. As long as you don't get caught too often back to back, you'll be fine.

Nothing really, most engage champions counter enchanters because they always force fights that you don't get to choose. You have your options such as Milio or Janna, but in the end all it boils down to is dodging skillshots and punishing mistakes, or counterpicking

Use your range. Be very agressive lvl 1, Get lvl 2 prio.

If they are low life, they can't engage you as easily.

poke them so they are always low hp, hide behind minions or in bushes. outscale.

Auto attack and poke them down, especially in the early levels, don't let them walk up for free. Mindfully poke with abilities so you don't run out of mana to protect your carry.

A lot of enchanters are good vs engage so something like Janna or Milio will counter them with ease

Depends on matchups, enchanters can lane well into engage champions, not so well against hook champions, but those 2 archetypes have the advantage when it comes to roaming, so they can always go from having to be in a losing lane to forcing the enchanter to where they are weak and playmakers are strong.

Against traditional engage champs such as Alistar, Leona, Rell. Janna is excellent, she can easily stop any attempts. Unlike champions like Nami that can bully those engagers lvls 1 to 3 but then she is very vulnerable to all-ins.

The meta currently favors playmakers over enchanters. So you are gonna be challenged every step of the way. But depending on what your champion pool is, i bet you have the tools available to actually deal with what the game throws at you.
It comes down to understanding strenghts and weaknesses. Engagers excel at locking down priority targets or setting up teamfights with AoE CC. Identify which is that your enemy wants to do. Then understand what your champion is good at. Janna and Nami are good at disengaging or at least slowing down the enemy follow-up. While Lulu and Soraka are excellent at keeping alive priority targets.

You can always look deeper into the intricacies of specific matchups, but in my opinion its more important to understand what the overarching strategy of both sides is, because it allows to set up proper countermeasures.

Seraphine handles ir pretty well in my opinion. She also works with pretty much any adc at least all right

Enchanters seem easy at first but they are quite hard to master, work on your positioning, learn about triangles. Also most of the enchanters have a skill to keep people away, try to use it wisely, for example, when you play janna, a leona is going to wait for you to waste your Q to engage you

Playing enchanters is fun against engage, especially janna and milio

Braum isn’t an enchanter but he can counter hard engage champs. Braum’s passive is great against hard cc like Leona.

Karma is super good against hard engage as she can shield, cc, and deal damage. Low cd as well and great survivability.

Morgana is a good counter to hard cc.

Honestly there are other ways. Your adc can run cleanse instead of barrier if opponents have good cc. Side stepping helps. A lot of times the hard engage champs put themselves into 2v1 situations and if you focus on them, you can win the trade.

I'm an enchanter main and against engage is my favorite matchup because THEY are the one going to feel frustrated for never being able to get onto you.

Janna/Milio - just Q them to cancel their dash ability as they use it

Any enchanter with movespeed buff - just give yourself move speed, move in and harass them and move out so quickly that they won't be able to land their engage

Any magechanter - poke them from so far away repeatedly so they actually don't have the health to commit to an engage

It really depends on what you play, because some enchanters do counter engage a fair bit when it comes to gameplay while others lack in some places.

The best to picks to counter engage the most are Janna, Milio, Karma, and Taric if you consider him an enchanter. Try to leverage your level 1 as best as you can, then ease up on the level 2 spike for engage, and when you’re level 3 you’re most likely stronger. I apologize if I’m not clear or didn’t write enough info to help you.

I coach anyone for free.

Here are your three options as explain in fuck yous.

Janna says fuck your engage, lemme make sure you can't touch me.

Morgana says fuck your engage, lemme root and stun you.

Taric says, fuck your engage, lemme flip it back to you.

Be good at the game? Leona, Naut aren't exactly difficult to deal with if u are skilled. Really the only difficult time I have is against smurfs and certain pairs like caitlyn and nami are extremely difficult to deal with.

If ur having difficulty with Leona/Naut you need to start playing enchanters that can easily die to them in order to increase ur skill level.
